I’m currently doing an MSc in Addiction Psychology and counselling at London South Bank University and will qualify as an addictions councellor and councellor in June 2025 and an addictions psychologist in June 2026.
I’m a Mum of two grown up humans, feminist, queer, dog owner, sober tea drinker, amazing cook and body positive thriver. I’m 56, hormonally I’m an enchantress.
I swear a lot and have a dog called Betsy .
I grew up in the 70’s in the midlands on a housing estate where kids played out all day, if you were ill you got given kaolin and morphine or antibiotics so my journey into complementary medicine has meant learning a lot personally and professionally.
I didn’t even know about complementary medicine until I had such bad morning sickness that the Dr didn’t know what to do. I went to see a homeopath on the recommendation of one of my weird friends – I didn’t have anything to loose except money, right?
The morning sickness was debilitating and had just been diagnosed by the doctor as having M.E. The morning after my first visit I woke up with no nausea and vomiting – the first time in 5 and a half months! I continued visiting the homeopath during pregnancy, and used a homeopathic birth kit in both of my home births. Homeopathy also resolved my M.E.
Once my first child was born (she’s 24 now) I started using Homeopathy every time we were all ill with guidance from our Homeopath.
When my daughter was about one and a half she had a very bad croup attack and stopped breathing. We obviously called an ambulance, in those few shocking moments I remembered a remedy my homeopath had given me for anything that happened suddenly (aconite 200c), gave it to her and within seconds she was breathing again.
After this I decided that I wanted to train to be a homeopath.
My friend who recommended you and I call you “ The Magician”.
Just wanted to say thank you for helping me achieving order and regaining balance in my hormone disorders. Calming down my herpes outbreaks and other symptoms. In passing, we also relieved me of a certain addiction. You helped me through significant passages In my life. “Hugs in a capsule” was very nice to receive.
Thank you very much.
